HBO celebrated Women's Equality Day by highlighting the inequalities their characters face on-screen through modern versions of cartoons popularized almost a century ago. These illustrations demonstrated the persistence and evolution of the issues women face in real life, the intersectionality of modern feminism, and the role that storytelling plays in the continued fight for women’s equality.
